Contemporary Hillside Residence
A Contemporary Villa Shaped by Light and Landscape
Designed to embrace the natural slope of the site, this contemporary residence unfolds through layered volumes, refined materials, and expansive glazing. Architecture in Dialogue with the Site
This project originates from a clear intention: to transform the natural topography into an architectural opportunity. Rather than imposing a single rigid volume, the design evolves through stepped levels that follow the terrain, creating a dynamic composition defined by balance and proportion.
The lower level is partially integrated into the ground, housing service and garage spaces, allowing the upper floors to open freely toward the landscape. This strategy not only enhances functionality but also reinforces the perception of lightness in the main living volumes.
Materiality plays a central role in the architectural identity. Natural stone cladding anchors the structure to its context, expressing solidity and permanence. In contrast, clean white surfaces define sharp geometries and emphasize the contemporary character of the villa. Large glazed façades dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, flooding the spaces with natural light and establishing a constant visual connection with the surroundings.
The panoramic terrace becomes an extension of the living area — a transitional space between architecture and landscape, designed for social interaction and outdoor living. The inclined roof with its generous overhang adds movement to the composition while offering solar protection and enhancing the building’s silhouette.
At night, integrated architectural lighting transforms the villa into a sculptural presence. Volumes are emphasized, textures emerge, and the house acquires a refined, atmospheric identity.
The result is a residence that combines formal rigor with emotional impact — a contemporary home defined by clarity, material depth, and spatial fluidity.
